When we are learning something new and then practising it at home it’s often a good idea to separate our practice into two aspects.

Here we allow the back of the neck to open and connect with the rising of the back of the head.

Chest open and relaxed, our energy flowing down naturally into our lower belly.

We can create this space by either physically moving our arms or we can practise a more subtle way to open up this space.

Here you allow the knees to take the weight of your body which is then transferred through to your feet.

Feet parallel and the knees bent. A comfortable, relaxed stance where you trust the holding quality of the earth…
