Qigong classes and workshops for health and wellbeing
Hi,
As you can see I’ve added a video for Shibashi Set 1 above and re-uploaded the one for Set 2 (which I’d like to redo at some point).
If the camera fails to turn up what I’ll probably do is also record a lesson(s) for you to follow along to. Then you can just watch it in a “non-live” setting…..
Best,
Richard
Hi everyone,
Unfortunately, the camera that I ordered has still not arrived. I tested zoom yesterday with my tablet’s camera but it wasn’t really up to the job. I’m not sure what the audio will be like on the camera but the audio through the tablet was very bad. Therefore, I think it will be very frustrating if we try this way.
As soon as the new camera arrives I will test it out and hopefully it will be better. Even if the audio is not so great, you can just follow along in silence. Perhaps that will be a bonus! 🙂
I’ll keep keep you updated as soon as I can. In the meantime, practise what you can, and there is also the video above to follow along with. Just do a little warm up beforehand, settle into your standing posture, and then click play…..
I’m sorry for those of you who couldn’t see the above video. This was a Youtube error, believe it or not. The software wasn’t saving the settings, but I found a workaround by switching to the old Youtube editor….
Please find above the video streamed through YouTube at the moment.
If you’d like the original file which is much higher quality please let me know by email and I’ll happily send you a link to download it. It’s a large file and you’ll then be able to play it without an internet connection.
A few of points about the video:
Sorry, my plans to make the video were scuppered this afternoon. I will do it tomorrow morning so should be up by the end of Sunday afternoon. Thanks.
Hi all,
I really, really disliked having to cancel the classes. Sorry! I did wonder if we could have carried on a bit longer, so thank you to those of you who have been in touch and agreed it is the right thing to do – I appreciate that.
I also hear that it’s often not ourselves that we are worried about, deeming ourselves fit to cope with the virus, but that we are concerned if we do catch it then we risk spreading it to our friends, family, wider population and of course our elderly neighbours and parents etc. So, of course, we all need to keep healthy.
Though our sessions may not be classed as “essential contact” by some, Bronwynn said to me that she considers it an essential practice, something I’m sure we all agree with. Or at least that we continue to do similar things which support our health.
So, moving forward, and to help us all to look after ourselves and keep our practice going I’m got a couple of things I’d like to mention/propose.
Check this page
Please can you check back on this page periodically as that will save me from emailing or texting everyone. Thanks.
Please feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page - I'd love to know if you feel an online class is a good idea if we can't start back again for a while.
Class mailing list
I will probably need to create a mailing list if we go ahead with the online classes so I can easily tell everyone how to login etc. Thought I'd let you know in advance.
