New Qigong Class in the Midhurst area
I am now looking to start a new class in the Midhurst area.
This will replace the previous one that was being run in Lodsworth – thank you to everyone who attended that class and please bear with me whilst I find a new venue.
We will be learning a routine commonly known as Tai Chi Qigong which is suitable for beginners and those with more experience.
This is a lovely sequence combining gentle movements and is great for those new to qigong, and for those who have more experience it can bring a new routine to their practice. And as the sessions move on the whole sequence can be deepened as it provides a lot of opportunity to bring different aspects of qigong into the learning/practice.
Fundamental to all of this we will be covering the basics of good standing qigong posture and the practice of ‘standing still’, or ‘standing like a tree’. This is a powerful practice integrating all elements of posture, relaxation and breathing, and is is excellent at building stamina and health.
Throughout our practice we will incorporate qigong breathing; how we can sink and stabilise our qi in our lower belly, the reservoir of our qi.
